Fun sans the Sun
Aug 7th, 2009 Posted in Miscellany | no comment »Happy Friday to all! Are you and I connected on Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter? I hope so.
I’m taking a minute to write an entry because I don’t have a show this week. This update counts as my show, so I suggest you sing these words out loud as you read them. Welcome to the Hotel California. Matt the Electrician is on the road this month, but we will continue our Wednesday night adventures in September.
This Thursday, August 13, I will celebrate International Left Handers Day with a solo performance at the legendary Cactus Café. The smooth & wonderful Brian Kremer will open the show with his original tunes. The show starts at 8:30, and I hope you can make it if you’re in the area. You can spread the word any way you like, but one way is this lovely Facebook events page:

That’s enough local news, right? Let’s talk about the interweb. Southpawjones.com continues to improve as a place to be and see. I moved the Songs page to the front, so new visitors can easily listen to most of my recorded material. It’s free, and most of the songs have their own pages with lyrics, like Everyman and Man at Home. You should swing on by, and tell your friends, but that’s just my ‘umble opinion. Of course, I appreciate all purchases of MP3s and CDs.
Since you’re a faithful reader of this blog, I should let you know I snuck in a handful of unreleased songs at the bottom of the page. I hope you like ‘em.
I still post stuff here from time to time, so I invite you too bookmark the page or subscribe (southpawjones.com/feed/) via your favorite reader, especially if you want be the first to hear new songs and see new videos.
Speaking of new videos, my LOST Theme Song now has more views than any of my other youtube entries. If you’re a fan of the show or keytar or kazoo or just me, check it out and pass it around. You should also see my homemade vid for Fatty Arbuckle if you haven’t already. An epic haircut for an epic scandal.
Thanks for your time and support,
Southpaw
